You should walk in Amsterdam. You should take the tram in Amsterdam. Those of you who are young or just crazy should ride a bike in Amsterdam. But ALL of you should take the boat trip on the Delphine with Vera in Amsterdam! What a fantastic way to see the canals, the “dancing buildings” and hear Vera’s amazing stories and wealth of information about the history of this glorious city. Vera gave Tish and myself that personal touch that stays with you after you get off the boat and head home. The other reviews talk in detail about the food and drinks Vera so graciously offers you. Every word is true! The Delphine is a warm and friendly boat. Vera is too! She provides that something extra we all look for in our travel adventures. Enjoy!

This is a great canal tour, much better than the usual tourist trap, it’s a must for your Amsterdam visit. Vera is a great host with lots of stories and insights to Amsterdam cultural and history. Included is a traditional Dutch breakfast with history and context old and new. The one and half hours is just right and the boat is lovely. I thoroughly recommend it.

A private dinner cruise is a canal cruise on a boat reserved only for your group, with a multi-course dinner served on board. Ours run 1.5 to 2 hours from the H’ART Museum dock at Amstel 51, with a 3-course menu collected fresh from a Prinsengracht restaurant during the cruise.

Our private dinner cruises start at €440 on canal boat Delphine and €475 on Leaudine. That is the price for the whole boat and your whole group, not per person, so the cost per guest falls as your party grows.

Delphine, our restored 1920s salon boat for up to 6 guests, is the most intimate choice for a romantic dinner cruise in Amsterdam. It is fully heated and decorated for two, and the skipper keeps to the quieter canals away from the tour-boat routes.

Every cruise we run is fully private. You will never share the boat with another party, which is what separates a private dinner cruise from the large ticketed canal boats that seat a hundred guests at long tables.

All cruises leave from the dock in front of the H’ART Museum at Amstel 51, in the centre of Amsterdam. If your hotel sits inside the canal belt we can usually arrange boarding nearby instead.
